Helping People Realize Their Value is My Passion

Like so many of you, my life has been a winding path filled with both heartbreak and discovery — and along the way, I found my passion: helping others uncover their worth, embrace their purpose, and create lives they love through coaching, speaking, and teaching what I once most needed to learn myself.

We all need to feel like we matter. We all need to know we’re enough.

I think I’ve known that truth for as long as I can remember.

A Childhood Lesson I Never Forgot

I was about seven or eight when my mom gave me a dime for the ice cream truck. As I ran toward the music, another little girl caught my eye — barefoot, hair tangled, standing at a distance, watching the other kids buy their treats.

I stopped, looked at my dime, then offered it to her. She smiled, took it, and ran to the truck without a word.

Something in me understood, even at that young age, that it wasn’t just ice cream she craved — she wanted to feel like she mattered.

I didn’t know it then, but one day I would be that little girl, searching for my own sense of worth.

Loss, Survival, and Searching for Meaning

By the time I was sixteen, I had lost both my parents. Then, before my eighteenth birthday, I lost my unborn son, Eric. Within three short years my world shattered. I was lost, traumatized, and alone.

I questioned everything:

  • Why am I here?

  • What’s my purpose?

  • Does life even have meaning?

I carried deep anger and judgment — toward the world, others, and myself. I made mistakes. I trusted the wrong people. I learned how easy it is to lose your way when pain, fear, and exhaustion drown out your hope and joy.

Finding My Way Back

It didn’t happen overnight. Slowly, I began to rediscover myself — one step, one risk, one choice at a time.

I went back to high school and took night school classes between jobs to get my diploma.
I became a flight attendant — my dream job at the time.
I attended college.
I started my own coffee shop, a business built on connection.

Through it all, I discovered something life-changing: self-confidence doesn’t come from the outside. It’s not in a title, a relationship, or a paycheck. It’s something you cultivate from within.

From Coffee Cups to Coaching

When I sold my coffee shop, something surprising happened. My customers kept calling — asking me to meet them for coffee, to talk, to listen. That’s when I realized: all those years behind the counter, I had been coaching without even knowing it.

That discovery led me to pursue a range of professional certifications, including Breakthrough Shadow Coaching™, Healing Your Heart™ Coaching, and additional training in Reinvention, Boundary, JUMP, Blueprint, Relationship, and Worthy Coaching. I also became a Certified Success Principles Trainer and I am currently pursuing certification as an Art Therapy Practitioner. Along the way, I’ve also had the privilege of serving as a mentor to coaching students as they worked toward their own certifications.

Today, I combine decades of personal experience, professional training, and hard-earned lessons to help others break free from old patterns, release guilt and shame, and build lives they’re excited to wake up to.
